The East India Trading Companies in Iran – Dr Mark Williams
April 21, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
During the Safavid period, much of Iran’s trade went through Dutch, Portuguese and English trading companies, who established bases on the Persian Gulf, with substantial establishments in Isfahan.
Dr Mark Williams of Cardiff University will be discussing the effect that these companies had on the Iranian economy.
This lecture will be live at the Army & Navy Club, free to members of the Iran Society. There will be a Zoom option for those unable to attend.
